In 1997 Matchbox issued the 75 Challenge range consisting of gold painted versions of models from the 1997 USA 1-75 range. Each model was limited to 10,000 units. A contest was set up and to enter you had to collect 5 models and take a picture of yourself with them. Winners received a special gold colored '57 Chevy of which only 750 were produced.
